Microphone only recording on left side...

I just got an MXL Studio 25 USB microphone.  When I record, it only records on the left.  I understand that you need two mics to record both left and right.  But I just want it to record both.  What settings do I need to change in order to get one microphone to record both sides simultaniously?  I'm using magix music maker 16 premium and windows 7.

Hi

You do not need two microphones to record both sides simultaneously unless you need stareo.

Record the mono channel then:-

Right click the audio track

Select Audio Effects, Stereo Processor

Click the drop down In the centre of the dialog

Click Both channels = Left (or Right) to put the microphone recording centre stage

Click OK

You can adjust the actual stage position of the mic using the mixer.

Hmm...perhaps there's a couple way to go about it...
