@Bill-Mannino Go into the program settings and to the Audio/MIDI tab. Select the Music Maker ASIO driver. Then click on the Advanced button to open the driver settings. Select your microphone as an audio input. Also select your audio output. Set the sample buffer size to something reasonable like 512 samples. Close the settings.

Next, click on the gear icon next to the record button. There is an option to see the levels of your microphone. If the levels are not correct click on the button next to it, to open the recording tab of Windows sound settings. Make a right click on your microphone and open the properties. In the properties you can set the levels of your microphone with a slider. I hope that helps.
