Mercalli Nuisance Banner

I am now getting sorry I got the MEP version level with Mercalli.  This is NUTS!  I had applied Mercalli to a couple of video objects, just to see how it works.  I hadn't done any cutting yet.  Then I decided to begin cutting, and each time I do, I get this damn popup banner.  I can't even complete a mid-object cut because the banner isn't letting me see where to end the cut.  Each time I have to hit Analyze.  I can't work like this.  I can't concentrate on what I'm doing if I'm constantly interrupted.  Is there a way to deactivate Mercalli V 4.  I seem to have V 2, maybe that won't be as picky.  Kami

Hi Kami,

Workflow - cut first do effects later.

This applies to almost everything. And even then, you need to note which effects slow the system down. Third party effects are most likely going to cause problems if you edit after applying them.

For Mercalli, I suggest that you remove the effect in order to work smoothly. Alternative, you can apply Mercalli and then export to a mxv (Magix) format, import it into a new project and work from there, a whole lot faster.

As I said, workflow!

You're right, of course.  In fact, I removed the Mercalli effect right after I got the s-cap.

I'm amazed at the learning curve with MEP 2016 after using MEP MX18,

Thanks.

Hi

This has nothing to do with the Magix version. It is a function of the Mercalli plugin which has always required  reanalysis of the stabilised clip if the clip is trimmed even one frame, post stabilisation by the plugin.

The built in stabiliser in MEP does not suffer from this limitation.
