MEPP not closing properly

We've discussed this before. I hadn't seen it for months but it's back now with a vengeance:

This is MEPP 2016. Will get back on it tomorrow morning.

I think this must be some sort of project corruption. I get it every time with one particular project, but I've closed two different ones this morning without the problem.

See if you can find one backup project that closes OK. IIRC, unless you changed the setting, it should have auto-saved every 10 mins.

Of course you lost whatever you done between that auto backup and your most recent work.

Hi Terry

. . . . I think this must be some sort of project corruption . . . .

Have you tried the 'export movie to MVD and import into a new project' fix?

Thanks. I've been continuing to edit the project MVP as usual. It's just that the save now takes two steps.

Hi John,

Thanks, no, but will try that later today.

EDIT: Success, thanks John. In fact I didn't even need the MVD step. I simply copied the timeline to a new movie, deleted the original, and saved the project. No second close needed, nor after subsequent reloads.

Glad that you fixed it.

I was also thinking that copying the timeline to another movie may work, and it indeed does.
