MEP2021 - minor problem with transition length

In both MEP2021 (20.0.1.80) and VPX12 (18.0.1.95), I have noticed that upon making a crossfade transition either by using the transition button at the head of an object or by dragging a clip over the clip to its right, and with a transition category showing in the Media Pool, the transition timer button shows up at the bottom right of the Media Pool. However, clicking on it does nothing. You have to click on the transition, open the menu, then select Transition length. Applying an other transition causes the transition timer button to work.

Could someone please confirm this? I see it as a bug.

does not work at all - tested up to 6 transitions in a row.

Hi John,

Thanks for confirming.

In MEP, if I change the transition using the transition button to "Fade through black," the timer works as does the settings button. Same in VPX. Strange that it doesn't work for you.

My apologies John I misread how you were applying the transition. 😕

The control works for other transitions, tested 12 different ones from different styles, except crossfade.
