MEP2014 - How do I change program defaults from PAL (UK) to NTSC (US)

Operaman wrote on 1/23/2018, 3:27 PM

The Program Settings Dialog has a group box with 2 radio buttons for choosing either NTSC (US/Japan) or PAL (Europe).  My setting is currently set (defaulted to) PAL  When I go to change it to NTSC, a 'warning' comes up saying 'The TV norm "United Kingdom" is located in the "PAL" system settings and does not match the program setting "NTSC"'.  Is there another area of the program where I should be changing "United Kingdom" to "US" (i.e. "system settings")?  I'm not sure where MEP2014 is getting the UK value from.

Is your Windows version set up for UK English or UK Keyboard maybe?

Aha.  Windows (10) "Region & Country" was set to UK.  I've just changed it to Canada.  Would you recommend that I uninstall and reinstall, so that that setting is taking into consideration by MEP?

Just the change should be enough - see how it goes.

Cool. After I made the "Region & Country" change in Windows, I then closed and reopened MEP, and found that the Program Settings --> Video/Audio, Video Standard setting is now set to NTSC by default. So MEP must be picking it (regional setting) up from Windows when it opens.  Thanks for your help!
