MEP not importing full clip

Hi folks,

I am trying to burn a wedding dvd, and the file I am trying to burn is 1hour and 4min but MEP is only showing 1hr and 1 min when it's importing the file.

Any idea what is going on?
I know it's not running out of data on the disc as its a dual layered dvd and it's saying only 1/2 of the disc is being used during the burn.

Any tips/help would be appreciated!

I'm having the same issue too, the last couple of minutes are just not there! It plays fine and to the end in Windows Media Player, I've opened the video file in Ashampoo Movie Studio Pro, it loads the whole thing, but the program is not edit friendly and no use for what I need to do with the file, which is what I have MEP for, though without it loading the last couple mins, it's no use to me either!

I've tried altering all the settings, I've reset the settings, but nothing works, I also updated just today, though again, that did nothing to the imported file, it still plays with those last couple minutes missing.... tis all very frustraiting!

We need help people, please help!

Hi

. . . . the file I am trying to burn is 1hour and 4min but MEP is only showing 1hr and 1 min . . . . .

What is the source of the 1 hour 4 min file?  Is it one you have exported from MEP after editing the video together?  If so what format did you export as and which export option did you select?

. . . . I know it's not running out of data on the disc as its a dual layered dvd and it's saying only 1/2 of the disc is being used during the burn. . . . .

The computer could be running out of hard drive free space - video has to be rendered and converted to DVD format and the support files created before they are burned to disc.

For a 1 hour 4 min DVD you do not need to use dual layer discs.  A standard DVD disc supports 2 hours of standard DVD, so for you video only half a disc will be used unless you have increased the bitrate setting for the disc burn.
