MEP movement templates

I am using MEP 2024 platinum edition. I am attempting to place a smaller image into a title frame and include some movement to that placed image. I can place the image and adjust its size and position easily enough with the "Size-Position-Rotation" option. Yet once I've included some movement from the "Movement Templates" to this item it instantly becomes far too large on the viewing screen. I then need to "reposition and resize" the image again which ultimately eliminates the movement that I had added to the image. I'm beginning to realize that I can use either the "Size and Position" option, or the "Movement Templates" on an image...but certainly not both. Is there a possibly a workaround for this?

@kaywah

Hi

There is no need to use the movement templates.

Set the image to the size you require and then keyframe the Horizontal and Vertical position options to can animate/move the image as you please.

If you are not familiar with Key framing, see this tutorial.

There is a list of more tutorials here. which may help you further.

@kaywah You don't need to add Size/Position/Rotation (SPR) when you apply a Motion template, SPR is automatically added because Motion templates are basically just SPR pre made movement templates.

Add a Movement template - then have a look at the bottom of the Effects window & you'll see SPR at the head of the keyframe timeline, a few keyframe controls above & some keyframes on the keyframe timeline, these you can move, adjust or add to using the controls at the header. Double click SPR at the header to open the SPR controls. click on a keyframe so it turns blue to adjust it.
