MEP 2017 How do I update the Software.

Movie Edit Pro 2017 Version 16.0.1.25 (UDP3) Windows 10 Computer i5 Processor

Got notification that new updates were available but I can't see how to update. I went to the HELP at the top of the screen and searched for updates and it says there should be an Online Update option in the help dropdown menu but there is not one. I checked further in the Update Centre and once again it says the Update Option is in the program but I can't find it. How do I update the program if there is no updating option please?

Thanks for your kind help Carl but you can plainly see I don't have that in my Help dropdown. It's exactly where I would have expected to see it but it's not there. Weird.

Hi,

I seem to recall that this was a problem and that the solution was to hope that the automatic update request works. When you open the program, watch for a message in the lower right corner of Windows. If it pops up, take it. I'll try to find the thread on this.

Thanks guys. Magix knew about the problem with the missing update option in the help dropdown menu. They sent me a link to a patch which I manually installed and the Update Option has been restored. Wonder how many people will know about that?
