Hi

. . . . i not to long ago upgraded to MEP 2015 premium DIGITAL VERSION  because of the constant issue i had with previous version, . . . .

The error you are getting indicates there are some missing Microsoft components or the components have been overwritten by another program.

Did you get MEP 2014 and 2015 from Steam?  If so the you need to take it up with them.

If the programs are not from Steam - try running the program installer again and select the Repair option.  If that fails try a clean install as follows for both MEP 2014 and 2015:

  1. Uninstall MEP 2014 and 2015  referred to below as 'affected program'

  2. Delete any folders / files left behind relating to affected program that you find in the following folders:

    • c:\Program files\Magix\ affected program

    • c:\Program files (x86)\Magix\ affected program

    • c:\ProgramData\Magix\ affected program  -  this is a hidden file so you may need to set Windows Explorer to show Hidden files.

Assuming you are still on Windows 7, and have not upgraded to Windows 10 - if you have then see this tutorial to perform a clean install

You need to check that your Windows installation is not corrupted as follows - do not skip this stage and expect it to take some time.

  3. Open the Start Menu, click on All Programs and Accessories, right click on Command Prompt, and click on Run as administrator.

  4. When the command prompt opens,  type in sfc /scannow,  note there is a space between sfc and /scannow, and press Enter.

  5. It is likely that when the scan has finished you get a message saying errors were found and were unable to be fixed - this is OK.

  6. Restart the computer

  7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 again - do not open any programs before doing this.

  8. If you get a message again, saying errors were found and were unable to be fixed, restart the computer and repeat steps 3 and 4 for a third time.

  9. If after the third time there are still errors it may be associated with a single file which relates to an obscure Microsoft Office tool.

  10. Reinstall MEP, activate and register.

This should fix the issues you are having.

Please respond to posts from other members by answering your own question rather than adding to / editting your initial post - this way everyone can follow the thread of what has been tried rather than trying to sort out which response from you fits which post as in your previous issue with MEP 2014.  This will help us help you.
