[MEP 17+] How to delete a movie (sub project) from a project

mjolnir wrote on 12/27/2011, 6:48 AM

Hi everyone!

I have two movies (or sub-projects), and I need to copy a portion of movie B to movie A, so I opened movie project A, then opened movie project B, and selected the option "Add to Current Project." I copied the scene I needed and pasted it to movie A. Everything's OK at this point. Since I don't need movie B anymore, I switch to it and use the File > Manage Movie > Remove from Project (Ctrl-F4) command. At this point, all movies get deleted, leaving me with a very blank project. I used to this with MEP 16, and it worked, but this feature seems to be broken for MEP 17+. Does anyone know a workround to this?

Thanks for your replies.

Hi,

Works OK here. Are you sure you still had Movie A in the project when you used Ctrl + F4 on Movie B?

Try it again with a couple of test movies, each containing say just a couple of still images.

Hi terrypin,

Thanks for your response.

Yes, Movie A was still in the project when I did a Ctrl-F4 on Movie B, and all movies were deleted. However, I took a chance and saved the project, quit MEP 17+; I re-opened MEP 17+ and reloaded the movie project and voila! Movie A wasthe only movie in the project!

Though it seems to be a UI issue, I'd rather that the program does not behave that way, since it was OK the previous version.
