MEP 16 Premium - black frame between cut

Stemu wrote on 1/24/2016, 1:16 PM

When I watch the rendered movie, there is black frame in about 50% of the cuts. You can see it if you play frame by frame and in normal speed there is a disturbance in cut (blink of black frame).

This happens with files from Nikon v1 (60i) nf Panasonic Lumix GX7  (50p).

This didn't happen with my  previous version, Movie edit pro MX.

I render to mp4 or avchd. I have tried many render formats at it doesn't affect. Black frames are always between cuts.

PC: Hp Pavilion Intel i5 2320, no separate graphics board. Win 7.

MEP 15.0.0.90

Does this sound like a bug or is there anything I can try?

Update: I tried to use the MainConcept MPEG codec instead of the Magix intercal codec at it seems to help. I have to test more and also what is speed and quality of the MainConcept MPEG codec.

Hi

. . . . This happens with files from Nikon v1 (60i) nf Panasonic Lumix GX7  (50p). . . .

I suspect the cause is having 2 different video formats ie Interleaved (Nikon) and Progressive (Panasonic). and that the cut giving the black frame is being created on only one of them.

Also check that the black frame is not being created before the video is actually editted ie on import one of the formats may have an extra black frame either at the beginning or end.
