Memory allocation problems

When  I  editing  in  MEP  2013 I  seem to  start having  memory allocation that  crash  the  program.  Sometimes  it  creates  a crash log; soemtimes  not.  I  have  sent the logs into   the tech  support.  My  first  question is  should  I  turn  off  my Anti Virus  Software (Bitdefender 2013).  The  computer  is  rarely on the  internet,  so  turning  it off while  I am  using  the  software  is not   a problem.   My nex  question  is  could it  be that  I  do not  have  enough space  on  my  hard, currently I  have only 9gb  on  a  112 gb ssd hard drive.    I  do  think  that   my  actual  memory  is  the  problem

My  Hard  ware config

AMD - 8150fx 3.6 Ghz

32gb  mem

Windows 8 - 64

Just  geting  a  little  frustrated

Sorry I'm no hardware expert but I'd suspect that 9gb free HD space isn't enough. MEP is a 32 bit program which runs under a special mode on 64 bit machines. It can use more RAM than on a 32 bit machine but I'd suspect that some of its internal operation require a reasonable amount of HD space. Have you checked the Windows Task Manager to see what's happening when you run MEP?

I  am  going to   get  a  larger  HD this   week. I will if that  helps

After installing a Larger SSD (256 gb), I am happy to report that I am not having any problem exporting or burning to DVD. I think the proble was two Fold

1. I think my MEP 2013 was fighting with my Anti VIrus (Bitdefender)

Solution: Using Windows Defender

2. Not enough space on 100 GB hard

Solution: Got Larger SSD

Note; DO NOT USE Windows Dynamic disk...unless you REALLLY understand what it going to do. I thought that it would solve my problem by connecting my two SSD and effectively giving me 60gb more space. When changed to dynamic disk then Operating system no longer work . so yoiu have load windows on another drive and use it . the data is still on the and can be retrieved.
