Melodyne destroys my ACID pro project. I uninstalled the program for that reason. It automatically started up en changed my events effects. Fortunately I could restore the project.

I had to uninstall Melodyne (I even own the full version) but when trying to open in Acid Pro, it either crashes the entire DAW or freezes the PC.
Yeah, the problem I believe is the version you get with Acid Pro is their very basic one which only allows one or two tracks to function properly. If you make the mistake I did and edited 3 or 4 tracks first before closing AP, when it reopened it went nuts trying to decide what it could or couldn't do. I lost my email with the activation number so I installed their 30 day free trial. It works great if you work on the events directly outside of AP and replace the .wav files, then go back in to AP and edit your project. Using it as a plug in is a huge resource hog.

I don't even bother with any outside plugins anymore. If I use Acid barebones, just in-house plugins, it works like a horse. I make all my music outside, like in Studio one, FL studio and export and paint in Acid. Life is good this way. But if I dared use a 3rd party plugin in it, like Melodyne, it won't even cry for help, it will just take down the entire PC with it. I own all versions starting from Acid Pro 1. I have two superfast powerful PCs so there is no excuse. Despite all these issues, no other DAW can match Acid's pick, paint and play feature. This is where my money goes.
