 Monitor tijdens het opnemen

 Meeluisteren tijdens het opnemen (ook wel 'Monitoring' genoemd) kan op twee verschillende manieren plaatsvinden, hetzij direct in de geluidskaart, hetzij via SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab ("Monitor"-knop).  De meeste geluidskaarten, ook die welke in de computer zijn geïntegreerd ("Onboard sound"), bieden ondersteuning voor de Windows-geluidskaartmixer.  Binnen de mixer bevindt zich ook een signaalpad dat een ingangssignaal rechtstreeks naar de geluidskaartuitgang doorgeeft.  Om monitoring te activeren met behulp van de geluidskaartmixer:

 1. Open het "Configuratiescherm" > "Geluid" en ga naar het tabblad "Opnemen", of klik met de rechtermuisknop op het luidsprekersymbool in de rechter benedenhoek van het scherm en selecteer "Opnameapparaat" in het contextmenu

 2. Dubbelklik op het gewenste opnameapparaat.  Als uw bron is aangesloten en speelt, kan het apparaat worden herkend aan de juiste piek op de piekmeter.

 3. Ga naar het tabblad "Luisteren" en activeer het selectievakje "Gebruik dit apparaat als afspeelbron".

 4. Als u nu op "Accepteren" klikt, hoort u hun invoersignaal.

 Bij sommige geluidskaarten of audioapparatuur, zoals USB-platenspelers, ontbreekt deze mogelijkheid tot afluisteren.

 Om deze reden verschijnt de knop "Monitor" in het importgedeelte van alle gebieden.  Als het is geactiveerd, geeft SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab het ingangssignaal door aan de uitgang.

Monitor while recording

Monitoring while recording (referred to as 'Monitoring') can take place in two different ways, either directly inside the sound card or provided by SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab ("Monitor" button). Most sound cards, including those integrated in the computer ("Onboard sound"), provide support for the Windows sound card mixer. Within the mixer there is also a signal path that passes an input signal directly to the sound card output.  To activate monitoring using the sound card mixer: 

1. Open the "Control Panel" > "Sound" and switch to the "Record" tab, or right-click on the loudspeaker symbol in the right lower corner of the screen and select "Recording device" from the context menu

2. Double-click the required recording device. If your source is connected and playing, the device can be recognized from the appropriate peak on the peak meter.

3. Switch to the "Listen" tab and activate the "Use this device as playback source" checkbox.

4. If you now click "Accept", you should hear their input signal.

Some sound cards or audio equipment, such as USB record players, lack this possibility for monitoring. 

For this reason, the "Monitor" button appears in the Import section of all areas. If it is activated, SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab passes the input signal to the output.
