May I Install Twice ?

Within the proper constraints and limits of the existing purchase and license agreement, Can I do this ?...

  • Put one copy of movie studio 24 Platinum on my desktop computer
  • And
  • A second copy on my notebook computer

I want to be able to work on the same project from two different places at two different times

I will not be working on the project from two different places at the same time

Oh and a great big question...

Does my notebook computer have to be connected to the internet in order for movie studio 24 Platinum to work ?

p.s., I did search for this using about three or four different Phrases and parts of the question and didn't see an answer. If this exists in the facts or something let me know and just point me there.

Hi Clint,

Yes. You are allowed activations on 2 devices simultaneously unless you have a subscription which limits you to 1 device at a time. You can install on more computers, but you have to deactivate one device to activate another one. If you have trouble, go to your account on Magix.com, My products and deactivate one of the devices. Changes to hardware can sometimes be considered as another device.

Hi.

Does my notebook computer have to be connected to the internet in order for movie studio 24 Platinum to work ?

For initial setup and activation, yes. I have never used a machine that is ever offline but the website support section says constant connection is not needed. Whether that means from time to time (as in days or months) it may need to or not, I don't know.

Ray.
