Massive magnification of downloaded video

lindeanlad wrote on 1/27/2023, 10:29 AM

I have just purchased a Sony FDR AX-700 camcorder, and today made a couple of test videos. Everything appeared fine in the camcorder's monitor during filming. However, when I downloaded them to my computer and opened them up in Magix Movie Studio 23, both videos were at such massive magnification that only a tiny fraction of the image was visible on screen. Have I imported the videos to my computer at the wrong setting, or exported them from the camcorder at the wrong setting?

I would be very grateful if anyone can offer me advice on how to fix this. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Cheers,

John

Hi

. . . . Have I imported the videos to my computer at the wrong setting, or exported them from the camcorder at the wrong setting? . . . .

Check the Preview monitor view is set to 100% - click the hamburger icon top left of the preview monitor.

@lindeanlad

On the main MMS workscreen, top left hand corner, find the hamburger menu (three lines highlighted below):

Click on the hamburger and this screen will open:

Make sure it is set to 100% and not anything larger!
