Making it into 1 movie

ricks77eb wrote on 12/5/2011, 8:34 PM

OK, I imported multiple videos, cut the sections out that I did not want, pulled it all together into a stream of scenes.  Now how do I save that into a single MP4 file.  I tried to save it and it created 37 different MP4 videos (one for each scene).  I just want it to be one long video file.

I just got the software a couple of days ago, so believe me when I say I am a complete newby and know very little about using editing software.  I may have just went about it the wrong way, but I went to the "File" tab then selected "Batch Conversion" and what I got was 37 individual MP4 videos instead of one single MP4 video????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rick

Hi,

The mistake you made was using Batch conversion, instead of File > Export movie > Video As MPEG-4.

I'm assuming you have a recent vesrion of MEP, as you don't specify it.

To get more focused help in future, please see the post at the top of this link:

Please let me know if that helps. We're just users like you, and feedback is appreciated.

Dear Rick ,

Welcome as a newbie

You've the batch conversion, so what you will get is a converted file for each and every file you add.

Just try to export you're project (that's every movie-, title, audio- .... all files on your timeline) as e.g. a avi or mp4 file. I think this will do the job

Kind regards,
