Make my own drum loop for Loop Designer

SleepySnail wrote on 1/12/2014, 9:47 PM

In Music Maker 2014 how can I save my own drum loop so that it shows up in Loop Designer?  i.e. I made a nice drum in beatbox2 plus and I want to now use that in Loop Designer, using the drum drop down.

I found the answer on my own.  With your beatbox track on the timeline shorten the song length to 2 bars or however long your drum is in beatbox.  Then you export as a wav file to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\MAGIX\Music Maker 2014 Premium\_Content\Synth\Data\LoopDesigner

Then open the file drums.ini and add Name=filename.wav;16 to the end of the sounds section where Name is how you want it to apear in the drum list inside loop designer, filename is your wav file and 16 for the bitdepth.  Save this, load loop designer and look for your new drum.

It is good if you found the solution but your tutorial is also good. If you haven't share your tutorial with Magix community yet please use SHOW & DISCUSS tab (look above) follow the guidance and upload.

Good tutorial! As Nihon suggested, you should upload it to the Magix community.

Maybe you could do another one on using Loop Designer?

Thanks,

If you face problem in uploading on Magix site such as your tutorial or else. You should update browser, Adobe flash player, Java. After following instructions if you still face problem in that case better turn off anti virus software if there is any.

Hope to watch your tutorials.

Excellent tutorial!  But hey Magix!  Can't you automate this process and make it easier than the many steps it now takes??
