Hi
We need some clarification on what you mean as hosting and domain names are 2 separate things.
You web hsoting will be active as soon as you set up your account and received the email with your login details for the host control panel of the host for your site, the email may also contain details of the FTP settings for yout to enter into Web Designer.
Domain names can take up to 48 hours to become active depending on where you acquired the name from.
