Magix Virtual Instrument pluggins not working properly. Why?

gail-p wrote on 8/6/2020, 5:43 AM

Using Music Studio 2020. Finding the magix pluggins virtual instruments all very slow to load and not sounding good (distortion) and the volume very low for playing and recording. Using Novation Lauchkeymini. Sometimes the plgdont open properly and dont sound right. Any help?

Does the speed and power of the system processor affect this.

Its a Celeron 2.15ghz Processor. 4 gb Ram..running Windows10 Pro.

Thanks

@gail-p

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Does the speed and power of the system processor affect this.

Yes, very much so! Your CPU is now what can only be described as "old"; indeed it is no longer manufactured, I think. In addition, 4GB RAM is really the absolute minimum needed to run Win 10, especially if you are running the 64 bit version of the OS.

Hey thanks Jeff. Yes ill have to look into updating my system. And yes its a 64 bit version of Windows Pro. What would you recommend for Recording and Playing Music Studio 2020.

My machine did pass the requirement for the product of 2 or 4 GBs Ram and 2.0 ghz processor.

Which ASIO driver are you using? See under Program settings.

Hi Jeff, there was a problem when I signed in. I recently set up a sign in with my email and a password. But when I went to sign it...it rejected my password. So I entered my magix password which uses the same email address and I was able to sign in, so it noticed it came up with a very old username Musicstar24. So gailp and musicstar24 are both me. I know thats confusing..most sights will not let you set up another password if it detects an email address already in use. The the dulicate sign was a mistake.

Thank you for the explanation.

Dual registration to the forum is explicitly against the Community rules (#7) so one of your "accounts" really needs to be closed and removed. I can "block" and/or delete one of your accounts but I wonder whether that will then block the other? I don't want to create problems for you to access the forum so I may need to ask some questions of other moderators.
