Magix Video Deluxe 2016 Premium is not exiting correctly and became very slow

After a program crash, yesterday, I got 2 severe issues that I cannot solve :

  1. When exiting program, it is not stopping correctly. There is always the program "videodeluxe.exe" still running in the background.
  2. In general, the program became now very slow, and the previews of the Title (eg: for example when you want to see the available Fonts, or the Intro/Outro sections are not displaying anymore the previews, See screenshot attached for information.

I have already uninstall and reinstall twice but with the same issue.

How could I restart from scratch ? I'm ok to fully remove all programs and files, to restart from a clean installation. But until now, the same errors appear even after a fresh reinstallation.

I'm running Windows 7, 8GB and until now Magix Video Deluxe 2016 Premium was working fine...

Thanks for your help,

Hi

. . . . I have already uninstall and reinstall twice but with the same issue. . . . .

That will not fix many issues unless you cleanup the files left behind after the un-install.

Have you tried resetting the program to its default settings - File, Settings, Reset program . . . . ?

If this does not work then uninstall again and then delete any files left behind in the following folders - the program name will be referred to as ‘affected program’ below:

  • c:\Program files\Magix\ affected program

  • c:\Program files (x86)\Magix\ affected program

  • c:\ProgramData\Magix\ affected program  -  this is a hidden file so you may need to set Windows Explorer to show Hidden files.

Then do a clean install, register / activate and update the program.

Thanks John, yes it works and I also have to use Revo Uninstaller to remove all the left over files.

Keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks again,
