Magix states " A large song & sound archive Over 50 newly composed music tracks and 500 completely new sound effects transform your slideshows into a true aural experience!" Where is that in the program. I only see 11 songs???
Magix states
A large song & sound archive
Over 50 newly composed music tracks and 500 completely new sound effects transform your slideshows into a true aural experience!
If you bought this on line from Magix, then you received an email with a link that says something like Installation Instructions. Click on it and follow the instructions to get the rest of the program. Let us know how you make out. Hint: look under the Help menu at the top of the screen.
Once you have all of the program addons installed, if you still can't find the music and sound effects, let us know.
OK I went to help and downloaded the music and sound effects yet I can not find them in the program. It still shows only 11 songs and I have no idea where the sound effects would be. If I go to magix download folder in my documents and double click it asks if I want to repair or remove, so it must have installed.
I presume that you are using 2015. I have 2015, but the music and audio special effects should be in approxmately the same locations as below:
C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\PhotoStory on DVD 2013 Deluxe\_Audio\music
C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\PhotoStory on DVD 2013 Deluxe\_Audio\special effects
There may also be another folder; I haven't finished re-installing the program.
You can do a seach for *.ogg to find all of the files. There are more than what is above.
Within the program, the songs are connected to the the Wizards for SlideShow Maker and SoundTrack Maker. Go to Edit, Wizards and select SoundTrack Maker or SlideShow Maker. In SlideShow Maker, most of the songs should show up.
I usually use the soundpools and the songs separately, putting them together myself on the timelie. You are limited to 8 tracks in PhotoStory 2015, only 4 in 2013. Same with the sound effects.
Further to my answer below, in case you cannot find C:\ProgramData..., it may be hidden in Windows Explorer and you cannot go into the settings and unhide hidden folders.
You may also want to take a look at the folders at the following location:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common
Just above the \Common are all of the pdf manuals for Magix programs. Under common, you may find more files, like sound and music.
I copy music and sound files to folders at this location and then create a link in the Media pool file browswer to be able to find these files easier. Some get dropped from one version to another, so it is a good idea to make a copy that will not be deleted if you remove the program after an upgrade to a newer version.
