@Daniel-MaciaCarpena

Welcome to the Magix forums.

First, we need to know exactly which Magix product, which version and variant do you have?  Once we have that information we might be able to offer some guidance to you but what would also help us to help you is if you were to read this post and give us ALL the information requested there about your computer etc.

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for your quick comment.

The issue is just that there is no sound on any video.

I have MAGIX Video deluxe 2017

I have windows 10 and this problem only happens since I upgraded to Windows 10

Here you have the details from my PC.

Some time ago I could find a solution for this problem in the forum. There was a link to download a patch that solved the issue. I donwloaded this patch but when I want to install it again I receive the following message:

It seems that it doesn´t work any more.

This patch that I wanted to install was donloaded logn time ago, searching in the forum I could not find the link to this patch that some time ago I could find.

Do you know if I can down load this patch uptodate in some link?

How could I do in order to have sound if I am on Windows 10 with MAGIX Video deluxe 2017?

Please, let me know if my query is clear or if you need further infromation.

Regards,

@Daniel-MaciaCarpena

From what you write, I understand this problem has only occurred for you since upgrading to Windows 10. Is that correct? Was this an "in place upgrade", i.e. you kept all your previous programs and files and simply upgraded your operating system?

If so, I'm going to suggest that, as a first step at least you download and follow very carefully the procedure detailed in this tutorial.

Exactly which version of Windows 10 do you now have? If you're not sure, simply tap the Windows key (bottom left corner of your keyboard) and R. On the screen that opens, type "winver" (without the quotation marks) and make a screenshot of the page that opens.

Jeff

EDIT to add: I should also have asked, is there sound on your computer if you use any other app? e.g. can you "hear" YouTube videos, or music from Spotify?

Hi Jeff

. . . . which version of Windows 10 do you now have . . . .

Winver does not tell you if it is 32 or 64 bit.

It is in the first image @Daniel-MaciaCarpena posted - line starting Tipo de sistema. 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor.

@Daniel-MaciaCarpena

In addition to the re-install procedure Jeff linked to does the sound/audio play OK for other programs eg Windows Media Player, Films & TV etc.?

Hi John.

It wasn't whether it was 32 bit or 64 bit I wondered about, but exactly which build of Win 10 the OP has. I saw the copyright date of 2019 on the screenshot but I wondered whether it was actually version 2004, which I know has caused not a few problems for various users of all types of software!

Oh no NOT again I hope.

We had audio issues with MEP on one of those major Windows update.

I have stopped 2004 update since months back but I think win10 will force update sooner or later... Woe is me....

Hi

I am on Windows 10 2004 - update on my PC from 1909, and new install on my laptop - no issues so far.

I do know that my laptop would not update from 1903 to 2004 as there were 'security updates and features missing' yet it was current for that version.

The PC was upgraded from 1909 which was a new install on a new drive.

Great, Thanks John. Good to know it will not cause MEP issues. 😊

I will still do a image backup of my C: drive before the update.

Hello Johnebaker,

Thank you for your comment. Actually I did download this patch before and in previous occasions it solved the problem.

But now when I try to intall it, I get the following message. It says:

Expired! Please contact Magix support

(http://support.magix.net) and report details of your problem

Do you know if there is another version available that could work? or what could be the reason it is not working any more on my PC? May be is because of a Window update?

Did anyone look at Daniel's CPU specs?

Would that present any problems?

Yes I did and no they should not cause an issue like this.

. . . . May be is because of a Window update? . . . .

Most likely as the issue is identical to the one I linked to. I would suggest you contact Magix Support about the issue and tell them what you have said above.
