Magix Musicmaker Premium 2021 (en-US) file version 1.3.46.38

When I first opened there was i menu bar at the top of the app. I went into Program settings click the File tab and there was no option to add vst path even though magix website said this app supports vst. I had to BUY and INSTALL "vst bridge" and "vst support" FROM STORE INSIDE THE APP. OPENED PROGRAM, CLICKED ON "FILE" TAB IN THE PROGRAM SETTINGS. "Add vst path" appears but would not allow me add a path. Closed and reopened program menu bar at the top of the app missing. Restarted app and computer several times, menu bar is still missing. Need help!

Hi

. . . . Magix Musicmaker Premium 2021 (en-US) file version 1.3.46.38 . . . .

The version number you have quoted is the Download Manager that is used for downloading and installing the program.

Music Maker 2021 current version number is 29.0.1.16 - check that you are on this patch version - see under Help, About - if you are not then update to the latest patch using Help, Update online.

There is a bug list of issues with MMM 2021 here, you may be affected by some of these - Magix are working on fixes and will release a new patch in the near future.

. . . . "Add vst path" appears but would not allow me add a path . . . .

If you purchased the Premium edition, as indicated in the title above, then you did not have to purchase this - the lack of VST support means you did not activate the program with the serial number you will have received by email when you purchased the Premium version, if you did not receive this check your email spam folder.

In effect you were/are running as the free version, you will also find you are limited to 8 tracks and a lot of features, functionality, Soundpools and Instruments that come with the Premium version are missing.

I would suggest you make a clean start as follows:

  1. Using Revo Uninstaller Free - use it to start the uninstall of MMM, when that has completed use the Scan option to removed registry entries and files left behind - do be careful - do not select anything the does not belong to MMM.

Failure to do the last 2 steps with Revo will result in the same issues when you re-install.

  2. Reinstall MMM

  3. Register/activate MMM with the serial number you received

  4. Update online to the latest patch if necessary.

  5. Download and install all the Extra content - available in the Downloads tab.

Note: do not use any coupons you may have received with the Premium edition until all the extras are installed, and be careful what you select to use the coupons on - once a coupon is used to get another Soundpool or Instrument there is no changing your mind.

@Joseph-Washington

Can you check under Help>About ... and tell us exactly which version of MM is now installed?

Have you tried simply pressing F4, which is the shortcut to reset the standard layout?
