Magix Music Maker Premium 16 Major Program Update Error

Upon starting the software prompts me with a window asking if I would like to perform a major update now. THere is a checkbox "transfer program information" and a button "Perform Update Now".

I have thried both, tranfer checked and unchecked. It will then display a progress bar for a 10 MB download, ending with a displayed message saying:

"Automatic check failed

The update has been checked and is corrupt. Instasllation has been cancelled. Do you want to restart the update process?"

Needless to say that restarting solves nothing.

Hi

. . . . Magix Music Maker Premium 16 . . . .

Do you mean Music Maker 2016 and if so what is the version number ?

Please read this post.

What is your computer specification ?

What is your Windows version ?

If Windows 10 was this an upgrade from 7 or 8 and was Music Maker installed before the upgrade?

. . . . THere is a checkbox "transfer program information" . . .

You must chek this box otherwise you will have to re-activate the program again.
