MAGIX Music Maker MX Premium : Other track sounds when replaying a section

fulbourn wrote on 4/28/2012, 11:44 AM

When I replay a section of one particular track I can hear parts of other tracks in addition.  This makes it impossible to edit the desired section of the track.  If I return 'Playback' to the very start of the song it's okay - but may take many minutes to reach the bit I want to edit.  Any ideas please?

An additional problem - the tracks often 'stutter' and the sound breaks up.  Is tghis is a limitation of my sound card and/or an inadequate processor on my computer.  Any help welcomed by this 'newbie'

Hi Terry

Your PC is above the minimum spec recommended for MMM MX.

However my own feelimg is that if you have several other programs running - especially certain brands of anti-virus then your computer will struggle at times hence the stuttering.

The playback problem - have you change any of the audio buffer settings in MMM?

That's reassuring.  Thank you.

At some early point I read in the documents that I should use an ASIO driver.

To my amazement I discovered one on my PC and so switched to that from whatever I'd used before.

So I have  Magix Low Latency 2011 (1+2)  and an ASIO Audio driver (the choices are ASIO / Wave / Direct

The ASIO driver has a drop-down box offering      None / Magix Low Latency 2011 ' ASIO4ALLv2     and I have selected the Low Latency.

I hope this helps and makes sufficient sense to you.

My vocal tracks are quite 'muffled' at times. I'm using an Audio Technica  condenser mike that I used as the singer in a band almost 50 years ago.
