As in the Q. I've uploaded magix music 2016 and even managed to transfer an mp3 file over to begin. But.... I can't hear anything off anything - not media player, magix, youtube, web.....
program setings and audio midi and attempted choosing wave... direct... asio.... and then returning to the magix but still nothing.
My realtek HD audio manager is not working any way at all although it used to .
the magix low latency field could be a possability but I'm really clutching at straws now.
Please don't point me to a video I cannot hear !!!! or play !!!!
I'm using windows 8.1 with a windows media player.
Thanks

Hi,

Your question is not really clear, but it sounds like you have no sound at all?  Or do you loose all sound once MEP is brought up?

If you have no sound at all, then your computer's sound card/configuration is suspect.  If the lack of sound starts once MEP is brought up, then it's audio configuration.  There are a lot of possible reasons for loss of audio, so details are necessary to get any real meaningful help.

Good luck

Hey John, your answer doesn't even begin to answer the guy's problem. Get a clue!!

Actually @wildeprods, the second part of @johnebaker's previous post does lead to the exact correct answer.

ASIO may in many cases take full control of an audio driver. When enabled in Magix (or any other application) other programs will not work, including YouTube.

Switching to another option will resolve the issue.
