When in edit mode as long as I am viewing the video I have audio. If i edit such cut and start from there i have no audio unless i return to the start, this began after my first update. If i did not have the download version I would be tempted to uninstall (If I had the install disk) and reinstall. I think i have tried everything else. What can i do? My operating system is windows 7. I import the video from my DVD drive and then edit it. I repeat, I did not have this problem before my first update. I keep video it is the audio that is lost. If I do no editing it will play all the way. J.B. Beasley

Hi

When you say 'import the video from my DVD drive'  are you importing VOB's directly from the DVD into MEP?

If so then you need to copy the video VOB files to your hard drive before importing into MEP.

This should cure your problem - if not then change the file extension of the VOBs to mpg and import into MEP
