Magix Freezes When Editing HD Videos

I have the Sony SR11 HD camcorder (AVCHD, MTS)...

I paid for the codec for the mpeg4 activation but whenever I try to watch or edit HD videos in Magix Movie Edit Pro 14, the program freezes up. I put the preview quality to half resolution, quarter resolution, and low resolution, all to no avail.

This does not happen when I use Pinnacle or AVS Video Editor to watch and edit the same HD footage....

How do I get it to work in Magix?

I converted the AVCHD MTS file into a WMV file and it now seems to be working in Magix Movie Edit Pro 14...

I found the best remedy for editng HD movies is to first export the movie as a magix movie (MXV) file and edit it afterwards. I didn't notice any significant change in video quality after I did that and the program worked very smoothly. The video looked Crystal clear on my television as well.

Thanks! I will try that. I was exporting as AVI or WMV but while it was an improvement from the AVCHD, the playback in Magic was still chopping. I'll try exporting as a MXV and see how that works.
