Magix crashes whenever I insert a mask

HI, I'm using Magix Movie Edit Pro MX Premium. I am editing a video in HD. Whenever I try to insert an HD Mask, the program crashes. I get this error:

A serious program error occurred.

Error in module "videodeluxe.exe" (load address: 0x00400000) to address 0x0087110e

Exception 0xc0000005 "ACCESS_VIOLATION"

Any ideas what could be causing this crash? It's happened over a dozen times; sometimes it happens the minute I insert a mask, and sometimes it happens a few minutes later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hardware:

  • Intel Core i7-2600k cpu @ 3.40 GHz 3.70 GHz
  • 16 GB Ram
  • Intel HD Graphics 3000
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
  • 64-bit Operating System

All the best

Aleathea

Hi

Where are you getting the mask from, what format is it in?

. . . . Intel HD Graphics 3000
        NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti . . . .

Which are you actually using ie which one is your monitor plugged in to?  In theory the integrated graphcs should be switched off when you add a graphics card.

. . . . 64-bit Operating System . . . .

Which version of Windows - Vista, 7 or 8 ?

John
