Magix Connect

I own several of your products, I recently upgraded Sound Forge, Movie Studio, Music Maker and all. Now along comes Magix Connect! I invited you into my home, my computer, and you send along your pig! It harasses me at every turn. I know your products and I will update and buy new WHEN I NEED TO! This harassment makes me have to review every install and weed out the unwanted trash. Please get some class to go along with your good products and be respectful of your customers. Thank you.

Welcome to the Magix forums.

First, you need to understand that these are user to user forums, not a method to contact Magix direct.

Second, please read this post in order to learn how to disable Connect.

Even worse, I suspect that Magix Connect showed up as a selection on the download screen and you didn't de-select it.

It does not "harass" you at every turn. You only get 1 message when you boot the computer, right?

Once you turn off Magix Connect or disable the notices for all programs, please do not come back here and complain that Magix didn't tell you about any special offers or discount coupons, as some users have done.

Thanks for your help browj2. Ya, the worst part was that the Magix Connect, if it had a check box, did not say its purpose was to flash up signs on my screen and try to sell me more stuff. And it does flash up more than just when I sign on, the level of harassment is mine to decide, thank you very much! Try not to worry about whatever you anticipate I might do, I'm sure you have other bigger issues to deal with.

Hi Larry,

Actually, Magix Connect does more than flash up notices, it allows you to import content that you may have in the Cloud, and use WiFi Transfer. Open it from the hidden icons in the bottom right tray of your computer. You can turn off (disable) messaging under Info Channels for the products for which you do not want to receive any popup messages.

This morning, a notice popped up about the anticipated new release of MM2020. I didn't get any message about this when I opened the program, only when starting my computer.
