I have bought a Video Saver, Magix and I want to digitize VHS to my computer (Lenova). When I start a project, I only hear sound, and no video (picture). What more do you need to know?

Thank you for the additional information.

Which version of Windows do you have? Video Saver is now an old product; its more modern equivalent is Rescue Your Videotapes. I'm not sure whether VS is able to run under any recent OS, especially Windows 11 if that is what you have.

Assuming you have correctly installed the software, it may be that the driver for the USB Capture device needs to be updated. What colour is that device and what model number, if any, is shown on it?

Another thing to check:

Windows Settings>Privacy

In App Remissions, ensure that "Allow app to access your camera" is switched On.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.
