m2ts video but no audio

hi

i imported a m2ts video into magix 15 plus , the video loaded but no audio, the m2ts file is from my blu ray dvd hard drive blu ray recorder ( panasonic dmr-bw780 ) i have also tried it in magix video pro but still the same

i have also notised that some mkv files also have no audio in the magix video pro and the magix MX premium

any ideas????

Coming late to this but...

The problem of lack of audio is most often due to a difference in audio sampling rate.  MEP normally "expects" the audio to be 48kHz 16 bit.  I wonder whether your BD recorder is working at 96kHz and 24 bit?  A check on its specifications should tell you, or you can let the free "MediaInfo" look at your file and see what it says the format of the audio is.

If the problem is one of mismatched sampling frequency and bit rate you will need to "convert" the audio from whatever it currently is to MEP's normal standard.
