Lyrics don't play on some devices

Chris-Taylor wrote on 12/29/2018, 7:22 PM

I have seven songs finished in Music Maker, each with vocals imported as a WAV. When I export the finished songs as a WAV they sound great on my computer, my Iphone and other devices, however on some devices (Samsung phones mostly) there are no vocals. How is this possible and how do I fix it? I would have said this is impossible if not seeing it for myself. Same file plays with lyrics on some devices, but as an instrumental on others. There was never an instrumental rendered so I don't understand what is going on. Lil help?

Hi

I would say it is almost impossible - once you have exported to WAV file the audio on the timeline is mixed down to one audio stream.

The one possibility is that the vocals were recorded with a mono source, this is normally left channel if a mono mic was recorded into a stereo wav file.

Some devices may not be playing the stereo correctly.

Wow, the audio was recorded in mono but I converted it to stereo in the editor and it shows up on both the left and right channels. How would I go about fixing this?

How did you do this?

When you play the timeline with the Mixer open do you see both meters (L & R) moving for the track the lyrics are on? If not check the Pan setting for the lyrics objects and track.
