Loss of audio when editing with Movie Studio 17.0

I used “Import Camcorder Disc” on Movie Studio 17.0 to copy the contents of a DVD so I can edit it. The MP4 files were successfully imported but when they were transferred to the timeline for editing there is no audio track. I checked back on the MP4 files and there is definitely audio on them but the audio disappears when transferred to the timeline. How can I fix this please?
