Any more details? e.g. what you're doing when it locks up, the kind of plugins / instruments used in your projects when they lock up?

If I do just about anything it freezes up. If I click on anything while its playing if I bring up a plugin screen, start or stop play, etc. Very frustrating. I was wondering if perhaps using 16 bit samples could be doing it.

16bit samples shouldn't cause that. I usually find plugins are the worst culprit for causing crashes. If you have a huge collection of plugins that you've added in to Acid it might be worth narrowing the selection down... e.g. don't use add in 32bit plugins if you have the 64bit variant also installed..

Also, it's probably worth running a system file check, and check disk against all your drives just to start with.
