Loading Soundpools

I am new and probably doing something silly. But I am trying to load several soundpools off spDVDcol_18 to Music Maker 64 bit 30.0.4.44 on a PC running Windows 10. Everything seems to work right when I use add Soundpools. The new Soundpools are listed and show instruments. But when I try to sample or use them, I am told to reinsert my DVD and try again. When I do this I get the same error message. I am able to listen and insert them using File Manager with no problem. I have tried to manually copy them to C:/Users/Public/Public/Documents/Magix/Common/Soundpools/Basics_20 and C:/Users/Public/Public/Documents/Magix/Common/Soundpools/Shop but I still get the same error message telling me to insert my DVD. How do I get Music Maker to recognize the new soundpools using just the Soundpools button?

@Jerry-Miles

Hi,

I have Soundpool Collection 20 DVD which is spDVDcol_20 and everything went into C:/Users/Public/Public/Documents/Magix/Common/Soundpools/Basics_20

as shown below:

You have Collection 18, so you should create a folder Basics_18 and copy all files and folders from the DVD that are under the "soundpool_DVD" to

C:/Users/Public/Public/Documents/Magix/Common/Soundpools/Basics_18.

Then, in Music Maker, add the path by going to Loops, gear-shaped menu, Add new Soundpools, and go to the above folder.

I hope that you did not make a path to the DVD, as that would give you an error like you have mentioned.

All Soundpools have to be on your computer and accessible.

Also, make sure that, under Program Settings, Folders, you have no path to a DVD and that you have a proper path to Imports like:

C:\Documents\MAGIX\Music Maker\AudioTemp

and check that the path to Soundpools is correct:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

@Jerry-Miles Did you add the Soundpools while they were still on the DVD? Then you need to delete them from the list and add them again. I think it should also work fine if you rescan the Soundpools again in the program settings because you copied them into the standard Soundpool folder. Music Maker should find them automatically during a rescan.

HI, guys. All the settings were OK but uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick. I just tested them all and they are working great. Thanks for your help. Time to make a song!
