Licensing help

Devan-Nordin wrote on 3/28/2020, 5:31 AM

I would like to eventually sell a track I made in music maker jam with samples I purchased with coins. It said they are royalty free but I'm a bit confused as it also states I need to purchase an audio pro licence in order to sell my song, if anyone could help me out in finding a licence and all other steps I would need to take so I could eventually sell my track as I'm very new to this and I have lyrics coming in for the song right away, thanks.

@Devan-Nordin

Welcome to the Magix forums.

First, please read this pinned post which explains the official, Magix, position with regard to the commercial use of Magix' own soundpools, samples etc. You don't say where you bought the samples I purchased but I will assume it was from Magix. If Magix was the source, e.g. from ProducerPlanet, a full commercial licence is required for each soundpool you want to use in any track you sell. Initial purchase of such a soundpool does NOT include that licence unless you selected the commercial option when you purchased it. If it was from a different source you will need to check carefully the licensing conditions of that source.

Also, since you are using Music Maker Jam, please be aware that it has its own support area, as stated in this post.
