Licence Ownership Duration

Hi, I wanted to ask what are the terms for the duration of ownership for the licence, for example with FL Studio the product is purchased once and then the owner has ownership for life, what are the terms for Acid Pro 10? Would you have to purchase the next iteration at full price/discounted price, or is it a one time payment such FL Studio (I don't expect this to be the case, so no worries if not).

Thank you in advance, I have been struggling to find this info by myself.

@Tonyynotlevy If you have a license of ACID Pro 10 you can use it as long as there are computers that can run it and as long as the software is supported. That is the disadvantage with online activations. When the activation isn't possible anymore because the internet is shut down or the software developer is shut down and no other developer picks the software up it is more or less useless from that point on.

Magix usually releases a new version every year and you have to buy the upgrade to a new version. You can also skip versions, for example you can use ACID Pro 10 for five years and then should be able to upgrade to ACID Pro 15 for the same price as someone who upgrades from 14 to 15. This is how it works now.

For clarity, there is also Acid Pro 365, which is a subscription-based service. You can continue to use the product whilst you have an active subscription. If your subscription lapses you lose access to the software
