latest update of Music maker causing sound issues

Hi, I have 2019 Premium Edition license of Music Maker.I have had free updates over the years. A few days ago I did a free update that was available. After update my MM now has a weird static sound when ever I play any instrument, loop or composition. I also get a pop up box titled Magix Store Download saying "Download Failed" . Think the program maybe corrupted somehow by download. Think I may need to delete and reinstall the whole program. What would be the best way to do this. Cheers

@daveabove You can also try to reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu.

Hi,

I often have some static as well in MMM2023. Go to Program Settings, Audio/MIDI tab, Audio buffer and change the Buffer number to 6. Works for me, but, annoyingly, the program doesn't remember the setting.

Hi John

. . . . the program doesn't remember the setting . . . .

Same here and the setting is not saved in the project file either.

Manually editing the MusicMaker.ini file to increase the buffers to 6 is ignored on starting the program - it looks like it is either hard encoded or is ignoring and not saving the parameter in the ini file.

Looks like a bug.

Thank you John CB, the changing of the buffer to 6 worked a treat. As you guys discussed it does revert to the lower number when I reopen MM. Also had a problem sometimes with program crashing. Started after second last update. Hasn't happened lately. Hopefully that's been resolved as well. Cheers.
