Latency with video playback in Movie Edit Pro 2015

RP1000 wrote on 9/15/2015, 11:55 AM

I am experiencing terrible latency in the video playback of Movie Edit Pro 2015. I have not had any problem till today but now the software is practically unusable. There does not appear to be latency with audio or the other tracks I ad just the video being in sync with the audio (ie the video of me talking is jittery but audio is ok)

Its almost like the video playback is not running from the proxy file but instead running from the actual file, even though it is crerating a proxy file on import. This video latency is occcuring on newly imported video files and also on old projects.

Is there a fix, or a setting that can be changed to help.

I am not regular user of the software. I last used it for or five months ago I wonder if i am missing a path or a software update has caused the problem because I have not had this problem making videos before.

Thanks. Any ideas. As things stand I just cant do the project I want because I cant edit with any confidence.

Hi

We need more information:

  1. Computer specification

  2. Windows version and whether 32 or 64 bit

  3. What are the project settings?

  4. Do you have Automatically create proxy files in the Project settings ( e key ) turned on?

  5. Type / format of the videos on the timeline

Thank you for fast response I have sorted the problem, all it was it that I did not click on the 'enable smooth playback' button!
