Korg micro key 25 drivers loaded and selected but not playing vst

Hi I have a Korg micro key 25 and have loaded the drivers. Record track has selected the driver as the input. When I open the track editor the piano plays with the virtual keyboard / mouse clicks. But not with the Korg midi keyboard is there a setting somewhere? Thank you.

Can you record MIDI notes by playing the keyboard? This would mean that Samplitude is getting the data from your keyboard.

I had not tried recording, it worked and led me to pressing the monitor button now I can hear it 😁
