@simon-Woodward You can try to reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu. If you cannot get there before it is crashing try to reset the program settings by deleting the MusicMaker.ini file in the folder C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\mm30. Maybe this will help.

Crashing problems can be caused by graphics or audio drivers. Please check, that your graphics and audio drivers are up to date. If you upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 please make sure that all your drivers are officially Windows 11 compatible. Be also sure, that your computer satisfies the minimum system requirements.

Try different audio drivers in the Music Maker program settings. Try Direct Sound or WASAPI or ASIO and test which driver crashes the most. You will only get live auido monitoring if you use an ASIO driver. If you want that feature and have to use the ASIO driver Magix Low Latency and it crashes often I would suggest you install another ASIO driver or get an external USB audio interface with its own ASIO driver. If you don't want to buy an external audio interface you can try to download the free demo version of FL Studio which also comes with the FL Studio ASIO driver. Install the demo and driver and select this driver inside the Music Maker program settings.

@simon-Woodward

Hi

Any error messages, popups or information on the cause of the crash in the crash log, are you getting a request to send the crash log to Magix when you restart the program?

@Emils-Kadikis

Hi

Try using the Windows Reliability Monitor history report see this comment and follow the instructions. You are looking for the Music maker fault - the comment refers to a different program.

I have music maker 2022 and I have waves bass slapper vst! every time I try to record with it music maker crashes!

@mikecasey121 Make sure you have selected an ASIO driver in the program settings, for example the Music Maker ASIO driver. Click on the Advanced button next to the driver selection to open the driver settings. Select your audio input and audio output (please don't use Bluetooth devices as input or outputs) and set the buffer size to something reasonable like 512 samples.

After you have done this is your Waves plugin still crashing?
