@richyb Try restarting your laptop. Do not select "Shut down", select "Restart" for a proper reboot.

Looking at your posting history I see a number of posts you've created, all essentially asking for help with this problem, or something very close to it. In a reply to one of your earliest posts you were asked to give full detail of your computer (see this post for the level of detail really needed). Please do this now, otherwise we, fellow-users, are going to be trying to make educated guesses as to what the problem, and the solution, might be.

Also, assuming that what you have just purchased is actually "Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3", please post a screenshot of Options>Playback parameters, shortcut P.
