Just checking before I return Sound Forge 14

I just upgraded Sound Forge 10 Pro to Sound Forge 14, running Windows 10 and I'm wondering did I fall down an internet hole or maybe upgrade to a lesser product by mistake? The graphics are blurry, the black background is REALLY hard on my eyes, the print doesn't have enough contrast to read comfortably, the print and the graphics are small and I most importantly of all, I can't find the old "remote" setting on the record, where you could get ready to record and take the little recording panel to any screen on my computer - in my case to my word document so I could read what i was recording.

My BIG question is, can I return this product in such a way that it doesn't compromise my old Sound Forge 10 Pro? Which I adore...

Welcome to the Sound Forge community @JennyPxyz

Which version or Sound Forge? I do not have AS (Audio Studio) -14,but have not read of any abnormal display issues.
Pro 14 is very similar to Pro 10 (see screenshot below), there should not be any blurriness or much else different than what you are accoutered to with Pro 10.
... If you are using a higher than 'recommended' DPI graphics settings, right-click the Sound Forge <.exe> file (or shortcut) and select "Properties> Compatibility" and check-mark "Disable high DPI scaling on high DPI settings". Regardless of the DPI setting, SF should not appear blurry.

In options -> preferences -> display you can switch to the light or white theme. The last one looks like SFP 10 or 11.

I can't find the old "remote" setting on the record, where you could get ready to record and take the little recording panel to any screen on my computer

You mean the record mode with only transport panel and meters, right? That seems to be gone since SFP11.

Your question about AS audio studio explains it. I've upgraded from a Pro to an Audio Studio, no wonder it feels crappy! So back it goes to them for a refund. I upgraded from the prompts on my own program - you'd think that would not allow you to go backwards! Thanks for explaining how to fix the theme colour, but I'll revert back to my Pro 10 which has better features for what I use it for - i.e. that ability to take the recording box to any other page on my computer. Much appreciate both your helps...

Thanks RL, I forgot to mention the dark, medium and light display options, I think dark is the default for Pro13 &,14.

I would not call going from Pro to AS "upgrading". And yes, starting with the SCS version of Pro 11 the remote record option was dropped along with f'*cking up the plug-in chainer.
