i recently installed Pro Suite 11 Full version on a clean drive loaded with windows 10 64bit build with 32G RAM, and it seemed to work fine when i tested it with a new file.

i then re-downloaded the VST synths that i've used for years. i tested them on a new file, and they all worked, but when i brought up my old files i got a notice that the synths hadn't loaded. simply not installed on the system.

Then i discovered that once i dismissed the notice the entire UI froze. i have to use the task manager to shut it down.

when i brought it back up all the controls worked, all my synths showed, all the bundled VST's showed. When i brought up a file it loaded the "no synth" notice, and the UI froze again. Over the next few attempts it also switched to rewire mode a few times, but still always the same notice.

All the routing seems to be fine. The softsynths are a mix of predominately 32bit, with only a small handfull of 64bit. It's worked fine for years.

I also note that all the error messages seem to bear the Acid Pro 10 title.

So what am I missing?
