Issus with VSTs in Sound Forge Pro 13

I'm using Sound Forge Pro 13. I'm using the Izotope Spectral Noise plugin. When I use this with Sound Forge, the result is muddy. When I use the same plugin in with other systems (including the RX7 editor), it sounds great. Preview in Sound Forge sounds great. Apply the plugin to the file and it gets really muddy. What am I doing wrong? Voice overs at 192khz/24bit wav.

Have you tried other sample rates? 192kHz is unnecessary for dialog anyway.

No, I have not. There will be some post processing involved, so I'm trying to preserve as much data as possible. This works flawlessly in Rx7 (and ten times faster), so I'll do my work there. Lack of ASIO support (Windows 10) and the results using the VST I mention have me regretting my upgrade to 13 from 10.

...and I did try the same process with the file converted to 16bits @44.1khz. Worked fine.
