I went back to mm25.1.3.84 2018 Premium , ok again . the 2019 update widget didn't work right .

2019 really wasn't a patch , it is actually the 2019 Full download , cause it Replaces 2018 .

uninstalled 2019 , and went back to 2018 . for newcomers straight to 2019 , your screwed until 2019 gets fixed .

. . . . The biggest issue is when trying to record audio it either freezes or haults for a second. When you play it back, often full words are missing. This is becoming a real problem. Has anyone else seen this issue? . . . .

No problems here with recording audio.

Does this occur immediately after starting recording or later when recording a long session?

What is your computer specification see here for the information required?

What settings do you have for the Audio buffer in the Program settings, Audio/MIDI tab

What are you recording with/from ie microphone, USB microphone etc?

This is a disaster for me.

One it says its been an update, but seems to have updated to the 2019 version that I NEVER asked for, and is now asking for a bloody activation code!?!?

When I change from the useless Magix Audio Driver to the creative one, the whole thing crashes and right now all of it is of no good to me.

How do they consistently and every year make this thing worse!.

How Do i go back to the 2018 version?

Hi, I just got the new update last week and am trying to upgrade from MM17. The installer seems to go through its paces installing for a few seconds and then becomes unresponsive. Here is the error message I get if anyone understands it and can tell me what is the problem, I'd be very grateful! Thanks! (I'm running Win 7, 16GB ram) Seems there was quite a problem updating from ver. 6 to ver. 10 as I recall...

Thanks John, It seems to have gotten worse by the hour. It started off with a "hiccup" or two once the recording had started. At worst, here and there I would have to go back and re-record in that spot. Now it has progressed to once I click record it will start for about 3 seconds and then freeze. Often it never comes back and even the task manager cannot shut it down. I use the snoball blue for recording. Buffer number 4 Multi Track size 8192 Preview size 4092 Computer is a 2017 Lenovo - Memory 512 MB Memory 12 GB AMD Raedon R& graphics. I also story all work onto an external hard drive to keep this computer's hard drive fairly empty. Up this point, I have never had any issue with latency or anything like this.

Hi

Thanks for information, however we still need the processor make/model information, also I hope you got the two memory figures the wrong way round.

The buffer settings appear to be OK, however one issue may be the use of an external USB hard drive for recording to - try recording to the internal hard drive to see if this improves the recording.

Hi John, very helpful post. I had it configured to first record directly to the hard drive and then be backed up with the external. I would then delete it from the hard drive. I checked my config after your post and did find that it was recording directly to the external. Not sure how that happened. It has past its first test this morning as I was able to record straight through with no issue. The article you sent was very helpful as I am planning on upgrading my computer soon.

Looks like we are good for now. Thank you so much!
