Issues with reading some WAV codecs

Just recently I added some WAV files to my library on MP3 Maker Deluxe, however, unlike previous occasions, MMD indicates me that the codec of the audio file is not available. I tried to open the audio files directly from the folder I have them, yet MMD still does not open the files. After all, I successfully opened the files with another software (VLC) which made me wonder why MMD does not read the files. Clearly, or from what I understand, the files are not corrupted, so I was wondering what could be the problem and a possible solution to this issue.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, we need to know rather more about your computer, version of Windows and version of MP3 Maker Deluxe you have. Please read this post for an indication of what we need.

Second, what is the source of these wav files? And what is the exact format of them? Please find, download and install the free MediaInfo utility and point it to one of your wav files. Post the results of the Text view to your reply.

My suspicion is that the sample rate of your wav file may be different to what MP3 Maker is expecting, or they may have been created at a different bit depth, or something else is "unusual", or any combination of these!
